Do you know who murdered Cheyenne Rushin in 2012? On the evening of March 11, 2012, in Louisville, Kentucky, 22-year-old Cheyenne L. Rushin, a Black male, was outside the Beecher Terrace Housing Complex when an argument broke out. Shortly after, the sound of gunshots filled the air. When the chaos subsided, it was discovered that Rushin and a female bystander had been struck by the gunfire.
Rushin was severely wounded, having been shot multiple times. He was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital for medical attention.
For eight days, he fought for his life, but his injuries proved to be too severe. On March 19, 2012, Cheyenne Rushin succumbed to his wounds and passed away.
The shooting was investigated as a homicide following Rushin's death. A woman who was caught in the crossfire reported hearing an argument just before the shots were fired. In the wake of the shooting, a makeshift memorial was set up at the location on Fisk Court where the incident occurred. Despite the passage of time, there have been no arrests made in connection with the murder. The case remains unsolved, and authorities have encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
