On November 8, 2024, the Hopkinsville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of East First and North Virginia Street in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Upon arrival, officers found 27-year-old Jacorey Majors, who had been shot. Majors was provided medical treatment at the scene by officers and Hopkinsville EMS before being transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Majors was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
