In the summer of 2021, the life of 48-year-old Devon Devaughn Kendrick, a Black male from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. On the night of July 28th, police responded to a call of shots fired on Sharpe Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Kendrick suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
