In the early morning hours of August 7, 2021, the quiet of a Hopkinsville, Kentucky neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Inside a home on Peach Street, 21-year-old George Gomez and 25-year-old Kierra Wallace were fatally shot. A neighbor, alerted by the series of shots before 8:00 a.m., discovered an open door at the residence and saw a person leaving in a vehicle. This grim discovery prompted a call to 9-1-1 and launched a double homicide investigation.
