On October 5, 2023, a shooting incident occurred at the Mount Hood Village RV Resort in Welches, Oregon, an unincorporated area of Clackamas County. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at approximately 7:45 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Matthew Reid Mullin, age 46, deceased outside a trailer, and his wife, Kimberly Taylor Mullin, age 50, injured inside the trailer. Both victims had apparent gunshot wounds.
