On January 9, 2024, a homicide occurred in the Hazelwood neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. The victim, identified as Cecil Yahtin, a 32-year-old man from Portland, was found dead inside a home in the area. The Portland Police Bureau responded to reports of a stabbing near Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast 126th Avenue around 12:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Yahtin's body.
