On October 6, 2024, 22-year-old male Lee A. Mauras was fatally shot in downtown Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred around 2:41 a.m. near the intersection of West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue, an area known for its nightlife. Officers from the Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct's Entertainment District Detail, who were patrolling nearby, responded to the sound of gunfire and discovered Mauras deceased in a parking lot.
