Who killed 63 year old James Whitacre in 1986?
On the evening of December 6, 1986, the life of James Whitacre, a 63-year-old Caucasian male, took a tragic and mysterious turn. Around 7:30 p.m., four unidentified young women approached a residence on the 2800 block of NE Davis Street in Portland, Oregon. They informed the resident that a man was lying on the sidewalk in front of her house, seemingly asleep. When the man remained motionless, the resident prudently called the police.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered James Whitacre unconscious and unresponsive. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where medical staff worked to save him, performing surgery for traumatic head injuries.
