Antonio Mason, a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 23, 2021, in Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred when Michael Maxwell, also 39 years old, shot Mason in what he believed was an act of self-defense. Maxwell, who was staying at his sister's home where Mason also resided, had called law enforcement earlier that evening, claiming that people were trying to kill him.
