Markell Bonner Jr., 16, a Black male, was killed in a burst of gunfire on the night of October 18, 2025, in the 500 block of East Williams Street in East Macon. Deputies first arrived around 11 p.m. to a scene littered with more than 50 shell casings, where Bonner and 21-year-old Brandon Devonta Thomas were found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the location.
