On a Sunday evening in Elkhart, Indiana, tragedy struck, leaving two families mourning and a community searching for answers. On January 29, 2023, 34-year-old Alexis Jackson, a local man, lost his life in a burst of gunfire that also claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy. The quiet of the 700 block of Concord Avenue was shattered just before 11 p.m. when police were dispatched following reports of a shooting.
