On March 5, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred on the west side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of Willie Hoskins Jr., a 39-year-old man. The incident began just after 3 a.m. when Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3700 block of West Washington Street.
