In the late hours of Labor Day, September 7, 2020, a house party on the northwest side of Indianapolis turned tragic, leaving a young man's life cut short. Eighteen-year-old Anthony Mills, a male, was shot and killed in a burst of violence that also left four other people wounded. The incident unfolded in the 2900 block of North High School Road, where a gathering had been taking place.
According to initial reports from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a dispute escalated over a broken table, leading to the gunfire that would claim Mills's life. Officers responded to the scene to find a chaotic aftermath, with multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Anthony Mills was pronounced dead at the scene, his life ending over a trivial disagreement that spiraled into deadly violence. The four other victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
