On March 25, 2023, Anthony Shelman Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was fatally shot in an incident that occurred on Interstate 70. The shooting led to a car crash near the intersection of East 21st Street and Emerson Avenue on the east side of Indianapolis. Shelman Jr. was driving a Nissan Altima when occupants of another vehicle fired multiple times at his car, causing him to crash.
