In the spring of 2017, the life of 31-year-old Derris Mack, a male resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically cut short. On the evening of March 31st, gunshots rang out on the city's west side, and responding officers found Mack suffering from a gunshot wound on Pershing Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. He was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he succumbed to them later that evening.
