On April 25, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred at the Diplomat North Apartments in the 2400 block of Albany Street in Beech Grove, Indiana. DeMarcus Antonio French, a 26-year-old man, was the victim of this incident. Police were called to the scene at approximately 9:17 p.m. in response to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found French suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
