On a summer day in Beech Grove, Indiana, the life of 29-year-old Bryton Paul Wilmot was tragically cut short. On June 24, 2023, Wilmot was fatally shot following a dispute. Witnesses reported seeing Wilmot arguing with another man shortly before the sound of gunshots filled the air. The incident was part of a series of violent events that shook the Indianapolis and Marion County area over that weekend.
Following the shooting, law enforcement identified Antwan Palmer, 36, as the suspect.
In a turn of events, Palmer reportedly returned to the scene of the crime before he was ultimately apprehended by the Beech Grove Police. His arrest occurred later on the same night of the shooting.
