In the spring of 2023, a young man's life was cut short in a quiet apartment complex in Beech Grove, Indiana. On the afternoon of May 18th, the sound of gunshots shattered the peace at the Beech Meadow Apartments, leaving 21-year-old Alexander Bohman dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The initial call to the police came not from a witness, but from the man who admitted to pulling the trigger.

Porter, also 21 years old, contacted 911 and informed the dispatcher that he had just shot his former roommate. When officers arrived at the apartment on Diplomat Court, they found Bohman deceased on the couch. Porter surrendered to the authorities at the scene without incident and was taken into custody.
