On June 4, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred on the near west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were called to the 500 block of North Pershing Avenue, near West Michigan Street and North Belmont Avenue, around 1 a.m. for a death investigation. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been fatally shot.
