On September 12, 2023, Ayvion Antoine Romel Parker, an 18-year-old from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was fatally shot at the Villa Capri Apartments located in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail. The incident occurred early in the morning, just before 2 a.m., when police and medics responded to multiple calls about an enormous amount of gunfire in the area.
