In the late hours of a September night in 2023, tragedy struck the life of Porshia Corvette Walker, a 34-year-old mother from Indianapolis. On September 25th, Walker was found shot to death on the far east side of the city, her life abruptly ended by an act of gun violence. Remembered as a woman with a heart of gold, she was a certified nursing assistant and the owner of a cleaning business. Her greatest joy, however, was being a mother to her children.
