Death by Force

On November 3, 2023, 15-year-old Devin Gilbert III was fatally shot outside KIPP Indy Legacy High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the parking lot shared with the Edna Martin Christian Center. Devin was walking home with his mother when he was approached and shot. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
