On November 15, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Marion, Indiana, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Quentin McCool. The incident took place in the 700 block of South Miller Avenue, near West 8th Street, after a 911 call was received by Grant County Central Dispatch at approximately 7:39 p.m. A female caller reported that her boyfriend had been shot, and upon arrival, police found McCool with a gunshot wound.
