Willie Oxendine, an 18-year-old White male from Marion, Indiana, was wounded late on the night of December 14, 2023, in what police described as a shooting connected to an apartment complex in the 3100 block of South Washington Street. The night unfolded fast and strangely—no ambulance ride, no sirens at first—just a private vehicle rushing him to the emergency room as the people with him tried to outrun the consequences of what had happened.
