On the night of April 13, 2024, Adesina David Aderinwoye, a 53-year-old delivery driver, was shot and killed while on the job in Indianapolis. A native of Nigeria who had moved to Indiana, Aderinwoye was working for the delivery service Gopuff and had just dropped off diapers at a home on East 42nd Street. Shortly after completing the delivery, just before midnight, he was shot in a nearby alley.
