In the early hours of May 26, 2024, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3600 block of West 30th Street, near the intersection with Lafayette Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Quincey Ross suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Village Liquor. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Ross succumbed to his injuries.
