On a Memorial Day evening in Gary, Indiana, the life of 32-year-old Mario Moody was tragically cut short. On Monday, May 29, 2017, police responded to a call on the 600 block of Hanley Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. There, they discovered Moody, a male resident of the city, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m. The Lake County coroner swiftly ruled his death a homicide.
