On October 5, 2024, Brandon Lewis, a 38-year-old man from Indianapolis, Indiana, was fatally shot in a residential area on the city’s near west side. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of North Tibbs Avenue, near West 12th Street. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:45 p.m. following a report of shots fired.
