In the fading afternoon light of October 5, 2024, the life of 38-year-old Brandon Lewis, a male resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was brought to a violent and abrupt end. The incident unfolded in a residential area on the city's near west side, in the 1200 block of North Tibbs Avenue. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:45 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
