On October 27, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the near east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Christian 'Raven' Alecsander Holly. The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Brookside Avenue and North Oxford Street, near Massachusetts Avenue and North Rural Street.
