On July 11, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Jamice Wright. The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. in the 5000-block of West Washington Avenue, where Jamice became involved in an argument with a man.
