Death by Force

On September 19, 2023, 18-year-old Marquese Simmons was fatally shot in Chicago's East Chatham neighborhood. At approximately 8:10 a.m., while walking in the 8100 block of South Ellis Avenue, a black Dodge Charger approached him. Three unidentified male suspects exited the vehicle and opened fire, striking Simmons multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
