Jaquan Diario Reed, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on January 1, 2018, in the Avalon Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Stony Island Avenue. Reed's death was a result of a fatal gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
