Jovante King, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on July 11, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when King was driving in the 2800 block of North Leavitt Street. According to reports, a male suspect approached King's vehicle and shot him in the head. King was immediately transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead later that day.
