Dante L. Young, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on August 6, 2012, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident took place near the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) campus in the 1200 block of South Union Avenue. Young was struck multiple times by gunfire in an apparent drive-by shooting while he was on the sidewalk. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
