LaShawn Griffin, a 24-year-old African American male, was found fatally shot in the parking lot of a gas station in the 400 block of South Kostner Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL, on May 15, 2021. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Griffin had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Mt.
