Martin Hvizda, a 31-year-old male from Marietta, GA, tragically lost his life on September 16, 2017, in Atlanta, GA. Hvizda was the victim of a violent carjacking that occurred on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. The incident took place at an Exxon gas station, where Hvizda was approached by multiple assailants who intended to steal his vehicle. During the confrontation, Hvizda was shot and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
