On January 1, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred in Maywood, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of two men, including Tyrone Mallett. Tyrone Mallett, 28, was from Chicago and was one of the victims found by officers responding to a call of multiple people shot near the 1500 block of St. Charles in Maywood. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m..
