Patrick W. Cox, a 51-year-old resident of Schaumburg, Illinois, died on September 22, 2024, in Champaign, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 700 Block of Prestwick Point, where Cox was found deceased.

Cox was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:55 PM on September 22, 2024. The cause of death was determined to be an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, as stated by the Champaign County Coroner’s Office.
