Shawn Simmons, aged 39, was found dead on December 8, 1995, in his apartment located at Gentry Square Lane, Champaign, Illinois. The discovery was made by the apartment manager, who, after not seeing any recent footprints in the fresh snow and hearing concerns from Shawn's boss, entered the apartment using her master key.
