In the winter of 2023, a senseless act of violence in Jonesboro, Georgia, initiated a long and painful ordeal for the family of Cedrick Ced Lamon Edwards. On the evening of January 19th, the 49-year-old business owner was ambushed and shot multiple times as he was leaving his accounting firm on Flint Trail. The attack was captured on surveillance video, showing Edwards walking to his car before being gunned down. His family believes the act was personal and a setup, as he was not robbed.
