On a summer evening in Jonesboro, Georgia, a domestic dispute escalated into a fatal encounter, ending the life of 28-year-old Terrell Douglas. The events of June 4, 2023, unfolded at an apartment complex on Southlake Cove Court, where Douglas was visiting his girlfriend. An argument erupted when Jovaa Jackson, a 31-year-old former Rockdale County sheriff's deputy with whom Douglas was also in a romantic relationship and who was pregnant with his child, arrived at the location.
