In the autumn of 2023, the life of 67-year-old Coybern Jones Jr., a male resident of Jonesboro, Georgia, was cut short in a sudden and violent manner. On the evening of October 30th, his body was discovered lying in the road near a cemetery on Woodland Drive, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound to the neck. The discovery launched an investigation by the Jonesboro Police Department that would soon unravel a story of a friendship gone tragically wrong.
