On November 15, 2018, Jah’Me Butler, a 2-year-old African American boy from Jonesboro, Georgia, tragically lost his life. The incident occurred just after noon while Jah’Me was at home with his parents. As his parents took a brief afternoon nap, Jah’Me found a handgun that had been left under a pillow. In a tragic accident, he picked up the gun and accidentally pulled the trigger, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
