Daquantavious “Quan” Proctor, a 19-year-old from Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday, March 19, 2023. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant on Peach Orchard Road, where Proctor was employed. Deputies were called to the scene at approximately 1:20 a.m. and found Proctor shot. Despite attempts at CPR by deputies, Proctor was pronounced dead about an hour later, at around 2:30 a.m., by the coroner’s office.
