On Friday, June 14, 2024, a shooting incident occurred in the 2800 block of Waterside Drive in Augusta, Georgia, resulting in the death of 53-year-old Edward Goins. Goins, a resident of Augusta, was shot at least once and was subsequently taken to Wellstar/MCG for medical treatment. Despite the efforts to save him, Goins was pronounced dead at 1:08 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
