Damien Tanksley, a 35-year-old African American male from Augusta, GA, tragically lost his life on August 4, 2022, following a shooting incident at the Get It to Go store on Windsor Spring Road. The incident occurred around 12:46 a.m., and Tanksley was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:21 a.m. the same day. The Richmond County Coroner, Mark Bowen, confirmed the time of death.
