In the spring of 2023, the life of Ossie Lee Turner, a 61-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. On the evening of April 14th, Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a call of a person shot at 1060 Oak St. in the southwest part of the city. Upon their arrival around 10:15 p.m., they discovered Turner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
