In the late hours of a spring evening in Macon, Georgia, the life of 35-year-old Demorrio Maurice Faulk, a Black male, was irrevocably altered. On May 2, 2023, while at a gathering on Churchill Street, an unknown assailant fired multiple shots into the crowd just before midnight. The hail of bullets struck Faulk and another man. Both were rushed to a local hospital for medical attention. While the second victim, a 51-year-old man, was in stable condition, Faulk’s injuries were far more severe. ...
