On August 9, 2023, 32-year-old Eric Townsend Jr. tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at the Fenwick Village Apartments in Savannah, Georgia. This event also claimed the life of 27-year-old Robert Johnson. The Chatham County Police Department arrested three individuals—22-year-old Roland Heyward, 23-year-old Akilee Wilson, and 27-year-old Albert Mack—charging them with murder and armed robbery in connection with the double homicide.
