In the winter of 2023, the life of 20-year-old Omarion Ke'Andre Whitfield was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. On the evening of Monday, December 4, 2023, Whitfield, a beloved son, grandson, and brother known to his loved ones as 'Dre,' was fatally shot. He was not alone in this tragedy; 16-year-old Semaj Floyd also lost his life in the same incident, a grim marker of the gun violence that affects communities.
